Lands of Lore: Need Help

I am stuck in the white castle. I have all the ingredients but cannot
figure out how to make the elixir. Also I can not enter the room where
the Lion's head says "You have no faith." Please help.

You need the "Crucible of Faith" from the old lady in the sub-basement.
It gets you into the room and it is what you mix the elixir in on the
Altar.

to enter the room with the lion's head, you also need the "Crucible of
Faith" There are only two chest in there, save before you open them, for
when you open one of the chests, the other explodes

You are missing the crucible of faith.............

One of the keys from the 3rd floor opens a door to the basement. You will have
to Face your greed (put the weapons in the little niches) and talk to the
old woman. She will give you the crucible of faith then you can take the weapons
as you leave and get the goodies out of the 3rd floor if you want to. (it is a pretty
good set of armour). You dont need to go back up there though if you don't want to.

I have some random mystic key that doesn't open anything in the white tower. I just want to figure out where to get the key to get to the old woman in order to get the crucible of faith!!! Help!!
