I've been to the Mo'Slo site and read this . . .

'Mo担lo 4BIZ has two DOS-based slowdown methods, three Win32-based slowdown
methods, and an easy-to-use Windows interface. Mo担lo 4BIZ can slow both DOS
and Windows programs with little or no discernable impact on Windows or
other programs'

There is no demo; there is no Evaluation program. So I'd like to know if
any member of this group has used the program to slowdown XP so it can play
W3.1 games. As I stated in a previous post, I'm trying to get 'Woodruff and
the Schnibble' up and running before my grandchildren come to visit.

The 'Divide By Zero or Overflow Error' may be a timing issue; I don't know
enough about computer languages but I wonder if the game, written for W3.1,
doesn't point at some time to DOS. If it does, Mo'Slo 4BIZ sounds like it
would be an ideal solution (I secretly believe that DOS is still resident in
XP, just well hidden). I just don't want to plunk down that much money
without knowing if it works on this type of problem.

Any suggestions or redirections would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go get a 486. They're free these days.
If it's a DOS game use http://dosbox.sourceforge.net

DosBox. It's got built in slow-down and it's way better than the mo-slo's
and other kinds. It will also let you get sound through your Windows sound
card as if it were a sound blaster.

Does Dosbox run Windows 3.1 now?

Well, Windows 3.1 does just sit on top of dos, doesn't it?

I don't know if DosBox will run Win 3.1.

The question is, why would you want to? Almost any windows 3.1 app will run
under a more modern Windows OS.

The original question was related to a Win3 game (Woodruff),
to which you answered "DosBox".

Oh, my bad. I don't know if you can run 3.1 under DosBox. For one thing
you'd have to have a copy of windows 3.1 around. I'm not even sure where
you could find that now.
