Sacred Rings (Aura 2) problem

Still in the early stages of The Sacred Rings - Aura 2. I'm stuck
trying to do something with the controls in the bridge.

I have by now installed 5 crystals in the machinery downstairs and
turned them on. I have pressed the only colored button in the
associated control panel that can be pressed. On the bridge, I was
able to set the dial to the icon connected to the wall panel, but the
wall panel icon did not light up (it should be blue). Also, the hand
lever to the left of the destination control is not working. Our hero
keeps saying something like, "I must be missing something."

What am I missing?

I am past that part now, but took me quite a while - even with a
walkthrough. I used the walkthrough from Gameboomers

walkthroughs are very good. The colored panels in the bridge room is
associated with the stands. I was able to find all the stands which lit up
all the colors on the wall except for one. I think it might have been blue.I
finally found the correct stand in the Pump Room or maybe it was the Engine
room. It is near the door is all I remember.I missed it the first time I was
there. All the lights on the panel need to be lit up. Maybe you missed
setting one of the stands in one of the rooms. I had to fiddle with the
stands and crystals to get this part right. You should see a cut scene to
the wall panel and the color lights up if its correct.You might need to use
the walkthrough unless you want to keep trying yourself. Sorry I couldn't
help more.

How many colored buttons on the wall panel are lit up? All the colored
buttons have to light up and you need to set the dials on the stands
corresponding to the different colors on the wall. Do you mean the hand
lever to the left of the wheel in the bridge room is not working? It will
work when other things have been done.

To answer your question, only 3 buttons on the wall panel are lit up.
I did the map thing at the back of the room. Maybe I can do it over
again, since there seems to be some indication that the blue light
comes on only after you do that.

Currently I cannot change the icons on the steering wheel, and I
cannot move the lever to the left of the steering wheel.
