Whats occurring:(??? Any ideas TIA
Defective CD ? Can you browse the CD with Windows Explorer ? Do you see any
files ?
Thanks for reply, yes I can browse the files ok (mainly sound files on Disc
2). I took the game back and they gave me another copy, got home just the
same problem occurred. There must be some manufacturing/or other fault with
the game?? You would think other people would have had the fault, it was
only released on Friday so maybe we will hear more of other folks trouble
with it. Or maybe it just doesn't like me!!:(
Thanks anyway...
Maybe there is a patch available which corrects this problem ? You might
check the official website.
Could be copy protection causing the problem. Might be worth
looking for a no-cd crack to see if it solves the problem.
Older game, but the only way I can get System Shock 2 to run
is to use a no cd crack, and that's with three different
optical drives in the same machine.
Thanks Lithurge - did look for no cd-crack but too early yet, only been out
3 days, will keep a look out!
Access - I looked on Sega website no help there only phone numbers, will try
them if I get no joy elsewhere. ta........

Question
I am getting the message “Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select
OK and restart application”, but the CD is already in the drive.
Answer
The most common cause for this problem is the existence of a virtual
drive. If you are using Demon Tools, Alcohol 120, Clone CD, Nero 6, and
Norton Ghost, try shutting these programs off and accessing the disk
again. Most CD-Burners will come with this software and will create a
virtual drive without your knowledge.
Also, if you are using a CDRW or “CD Burner”, the drive itself may have
trouble recognizing the CD. These devices are not recommended for use
with Uru.
I know that recent CD anti-copy protection "solutions" can make CD's
unreadable for some types of CD players. But I thought this was more the
case for music CD's.

Answer
In most cases CD-RWs or “CD Burners” will function normally and without
problems. There are some CD-RWs that will not recognize the CD in the drive
or you might have trouble installing. It is recommended to use a regular
CD-ROM drive when installing and when verifying the play disk.

This is another dumb suggestion. When you took the game back to the
store and got another, had you uninstalled the game and re-installed it
with the new disks. Many games are now coming with some form of write
protection and may install a number or code for that disk.
Just a thought.

Jumping in a bit here, but...
Sega no longer build consoles and are a 3rd party software
provider in effect. They mostly seem to be doing console
stuff, but must have seen a niche on PC for Sonic, can't
swear to this, but I think they also do the Crazy Taxi series
of games, available on PC, too.
