Hello all,

I was wondering if someone could help me out a little bit with
Stoneship age and Fortress island:

How do you get any light in the underwater room (accessible through the
back of the ship) in Stoneship Age?

In Fortress island, how do you get the bloody island to turn?

The other two ages I managed to get by without too much trouble, but for
the life of me, I seem to be completely stuck in the remaining two!

Thanks.

Simple hints don't cut it for these two problems, so I'll just give
simple hints to get you started in the right direction. It's more
involved than what I describe.

Start looking around the stairwell next to the brothers rooms.
Specifically, look around the landing just above their rooms (either
room).

I'll assume you've gotten the elevator to work. When you get to the top
room, look up. Do you see a couple of familiar looking levers?

I simply got lucky on the Stoneship Age & clicked the right place. I
wouldn't have noticed it otherwise. A friend of mine who was playing the
game with me was the one who solved the Mechanical Age. I don't know
that I would have ever thought of the 'elevator trick'. :-)

The one part that seems to raise the most questions. When you
go halls that lead to the brothers rooms, there is a panel on one of the
landings.. It is a bit difficult to see on dark monitors. I suggest
turning up the brightness a bit. Open this panel and it will lead to
want you need. :)

: In Fortress island, how do you get the bloody island to turn?

This also has been posted lately. It is also much harder to explain.
The shaft that is in the middle is an elevator, but it has to be turned to
allow entry. This is done from the room that the stairs lead to. After you
have aligned the elevator, press the up arrow. When you arrive, press the
middle square button and promptly leave. The elevator will return below,
making the rotation controls accessabile.

I've turned my monitor on as bright as she'll go Scotty and see nothing
but darkness past the second panel. Should I be clicking around in the
darkness towards the right or left (with back to brother's room)?

Still poking around in the dark? You need to turn the lights on!
Have you figured out what to do with the wood chest yet?

No, you should be figuring out how to light up the passageway. Somehow
you would think the "lighthouse" holds the key to this...

Spoilers...

The key in entrance level of the lighthouse doesn't open the trap door.
Remember Archimedes' principle.

As somebody else mentioned, you probably need to turn on the lights. As
for which direction to look? That depends on which brother's room you
are over. The secret room is between them.

First, recharge the lights using something or other in the lighthouse. If
you have already done this, then on the PC version, it is still pretty much
to impossible to see the door.

So go down to the room but not inside. Turn around. Go up the stairs once.
Click on the right panel near the bottom. Contrary to what the manual says
here, this is one place where you will be just clicking all over to find
something.
