Colossal Cave help needed

I have a text adventure called Colossal Cave that I downloaded from
some where (can't remember where). My problem is restoring a saved
game. I can save by typing "save" (of course). But "restore" doesn't
work (I get the message "Don't know that word") Neither do "continue"
or "old". I don't remember any other terms. It's been a long time
since I tried any text adventures and I just started with this one.
I have Mystery Island too(downloaded also from somewhere I can't
remember) and the Zorks (1, 2, 3, Beyond and Zero) and Planetfall
(these came with Return to Zork. I've finished both Myst and Zork
Nemesis and am going back to these text adventures before going on to
any new games.
Please help if you have info on C.Cave. Hopefully Mystery Island will
not have this problem. You can e-mail me or post here, as I try to
read the newgroups often.

Try "load".

I believe I've seen a port or two that restore from the OS command
line, i.e. "ADVENT <savefile>".
