There is a button on the lower portion of the wall on each landing. I
can't see it on my monitor because it's too dark. Yours is probably the
same. Go down to the door of one of the rooms. Turn around and go back
up till you are one frame below the landing. Press on the lower third
of the side wall of the landing ( the side that is most prominent )
until it opens. On a dark monitor it's a trial and error process.
Sorry.

MYST
O.K., I've finished Myst but I remember having difficulty with the
Stoneship Age. To turn on the underwater lamp. I started at the top of
the compass and made a clockwise circle trying each button( and resetting
the generator after each time) Was there a hint as to which button I
should have pressed. I thought someone said something about the telescope?

What exactly are the 'penelties' for using the library hint book?
Thanks for any help

age so I can finish the game. I have been to all the other worlds. oh by the
way I only get a blue page from the selenitic age? Hope so! any way I have
rotated the tower and everything. I know that the key says 2:40 2,2,1 but,
what do you do with it? Do you enter it in the star room? Help please!?
Does the movement monument and the clock have a relation. I am probably just
over looking one component!
thanks Tony

Hi,
As a result of the many tips I received on my previous question (about
the 'submarine'), I've managed to get alot further now. Thanks go to
all those that have sent me hints and tips!
Now I'm stuck again 8-( This time I'm on the island where there is
this ship, that is lying 'in' a rock. It is the same island where
the lighthouse and the looking glass are.
I figured out how the three switches (under the umbrella-like thing)
work, but that doesn't get me any further.
I can get a piece of blue and piece of red paper, but I can't find
a way to get back to the first island, so I can put it in the
corresponding book.
I don't know how to get the key in the lighthouse, and I don't know
what to do with the chest at the bottom of the lighthouse.
And what should I do in the under-water room (which you reach
through the ship).
Can you give me a hint (or two?). I don't want to know any solutions,
but I'd like to get a few pushes in the right direction(s).
Is it a problem if I haven't "entered" the book on island two (under
the big wheel, near the ship)?? I have only looked at it, but did
not entered it. Does this mean I can't solve the puzzles at the
island with the lighthouse?? (I hope not!!)
Greetings & hope to hear something soon,
Bjorn.
