Blade Runner: any way to NOT blow up at Dermo Design?

Header pretty much says it all. I can't shoot the bomb, and I can't seem
to run far enough away outside. Can I outrun the blast? Or disable the
bomb somehow? I do free the guy, but dying sucks. (I'll assume this is
one of the 13 endings...)

You can't disable the bomb. Shoot it. Run for the door, . Once outside
head to the left and go as far left as possible. You will then survive.

Try shooting the chain on the guy. And when running, KEEP CLICKING!!!
You will run even faster.
Try clicking on the low right side of the screen outside the building.

have indicated and we were both toast. So saying you lived?

I lived as well.

Try shooting really, really quickly.. then when you get outside, run to the
left. Notice Moraji bites the dust cuz he just runs straight.. (and I think
gets hit by a 2 by 4.) I think Moraji dies regardless.

If you can't do it.. just run in.. and run out.. leave Moraji.. you won't
get all his clues, but I'm almost sure that you can still continue the game.

I was NEVER able to escape Dermo Design alive when I first tried it. I must
have tried at least twenty times. So, out of frustration, I went to talk to
Chew, and when he told me about Moraji, I went back over, shot the chains,
and found that when I ran out, I had more time to get away from the blast.

Click repeatedly, that's the key. Clicking twice makes him run, and by
click six you're moving faster than a car! :) (makes the rest of the
game go quickly). I clicked up right (but close ) to the pole-thing
where Moraji was running.

Only took two tries to escape alive. I didn't think to shoot the chain tho'.
Just run over by the big post on the left, by the lighted road barrier.
Plenty of time if you leave Moraji to die...

I tried this scene about 30 times, and many times I was able to get to the extreme far left side, where the stairs begin, and I still died _every_ _single_ _time_. So frustrating! But then I tried running to the bottom right corner instead and that worked.

I found out this happening when the game runs too fast on modern rigs. The first thing i figured to fix this in my case was Fraps program. "Lock framerate while recording" tick and set recording fps to 30.
Started recording, entered the building, shot the chain and got out. And this time i was having enough time to run far to the lower left corner AND after that to run to lower right corner BEFORE doc even shown his ugly face outside. All previous times he was already out when i exited and hence there was no chance for me to escape.
