I've set up the keybd to my Far Cry preferences
... Forward on Mouse2. Zoom on Z. Fire control
on X. Lean QW. Use E. Reload R.

Game keeps telling me to go to "jump"
mode .. or "stealth" mode ...

I can see the suit controls by holding down
the mouse wheel, but I don't seem to be
able to do anything with the suit. So far
I'm just using rocks and trees, and going
prone for stealth. Works fine, just like in
Far Cry. I checked what I thought might
give a HUD for the suit, but I don't see
that either ??

Press the mouse wheel down, then move the mouse in the direction of
which ever ability you want to use.

Hey, don't patronise johns. He's intelligent enough to find that
himself... isn't he?

Pushing down the mousewheel acts like alt-tab here, so I mapped the
suitmenu to a regular key. BTW, if you tap the suitmenu key it goes to
stealth mode immediately, handy. But tapping it again has no effect, which
I would consider a bug; presumably you want it to turn off stealth.

I got stuck on that, actually - I got the suit hud up, but assumed the

moving the mouse. :)

You can also get the hud up with 'v'.

On another note - what does the tactical attachment on a gun do ?
I've got one mounted, but it doesn't seem to do anything...

Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes !
They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses !
And what's with all the carrots ?
What do they need such good eyesight for anyway ?
Bunnies ! Bunnies ! It must be BUNNIES !

Use the V key, and point the mouse in the right direction.

or use the shortcuts:
double T for Strength
double Z for Stealth
double S for Shields
I forget what Speed is - hardly ever use it...

Does it shoots darts? I was able to shoot some sort of poison/tranq darts
at some point once, but not sure how I did it.

That was the tactical attachment - it shoots knockout darts that stun
an enemy for a short while (15-30 seconds from what I can see)

Shoots darts to make them take a well earned RIP. You have an unlimted
amount but it takes a few seconds to reload.

press X to change ammo from full auto to single shot and lastly to
tranquiliser darts.

They are only knocked out for a limted period so make sure you place a
bullet between the eyes or max strength up and punch em :)

That double stuff sure fooled the heck out of
me. I was beating on the jump key ( space ),
and got double strength ??? They need to simplify
that. About time for a 3rd runthrough on the demo.
I'll be so trained for the game coming out, it won't
last me a day.

I set my suit menu to SHIFT. Hold down shift and use the number keys to
choose a mode:

1 for shields
2 for speed
3 for strength
4 for cloak
5 for shooty power or something? can't remember

I need 2 more hands here. And some of the
effects don't hold .. like stealth. Good way to
get first guy, and then get clobbered by the
rest of them. I think I'm going to stay with
Far Cry style a lot in Crysis ... just snipe
from a long ways off, and take advantage
of boats and humvees, even if I have to swim
back.

They are not that dumb as they still kinda still see you. I walked up to a
Korean cloaked, he jumped with shock and then proceeded to twat me around
the head with the butt of his rifle!

Sorry, I've had a few beers and couldn't let this one go, I was laughing
so hard. Johns, you've never met a FPS that you've been able to finish
without cheats. "it won't last me a day." ROFL

It always seems like Johns is trying to write a haiku...

If you arn't right in their face they will fire where you were and
then start firing wildly in your last general direction.

Also are you sure you didn't uncloak? I think if you bump into a
person you sometime un cloak and beside , like you said, you aren't
totally invisable.
I've done the cloak and step many times already although I must admit
I didn't do it 12 inches from their face.

Hmmm ... where are you seeing these suit shortcut keys for remapping? I
don't see it anywhere in the first three tabs ... and the other tabs are
greyed out.

I looked in the options and it shows the default suit menu is mouse 3
but pressing down on the mouse wheel results in nothing (apparently)
happening -- but the V key works. When I tried double tapping the S key
twice, I merely step backwards twice.

When I tried to remap the mouse 3 to the Shift key, there is a warning
that this will override the default turbo speed function already mapped
to it.

The V key and use the mouse to select mode works ... but I think it
would be much better to have each function on its own quick key.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

A ha. Bought the game this weekend. In the manual I learned that the
double-press keys have to be activated in another section of the options
before they will work.

I may have to change the defaults ... I notice that the Speed power
requires that you are already moving forward and the Stealth power
requires that you stand up from a crouch before you can cloak. This irks
me.

Fun game so far.
