Of course, these aren't all the PC games for 2006, just the ones that I
will be getting and have fairly solid release dates at this time. The
first 8 are all expected by summer. Looks like PC games have one more
year of life left.

TimeShift
Condemned
Sin
Half Life 2: Aftermath
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warrior
The Godfather
Prey
Hitman: Blood Money
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Scarface
Hellgate: London
Unreal Tournament 2007

This is getting ported to the PC? I recently saw in my local Wally-World
that it's available for the PS2, but I haven't seen news of it going to the
PC.

I don't believe Capcom make games for the PC, so I highly doubt it. Unless,
they've contracted with someone else to port it, which I haven't heard?

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic looks better to me. :) Based on the Source
engine. Maybe by the time it's released Valve will have addressed the
engine's stuttering issues.

Project Offset looks to be similar as a fantasy FPS. Unfortunately, no ETA
and seems to be grassroots at the moment.

Personally, I think Prey is going to own -- as the kids are calling it these
days -- once it's released. They're claiming the first part of summer, but
we all know games tank when the weather is nice (although Far Cry seemed to
be an exception). It prolly won't be released until mid-fall or before the
holidays.

Capcom has ported several console games to PC. All the Silent Hills
except the first one and Metal Gear Solid except the third. Few
Resident Evil games have also come out.

In any case I read someplace that RE4 will be out at end of March for
PC. Based on the gameplay video at Gamespot, RE4 is the action title I
am looking forward the most this year.

I just saw arcanastream's 1/26 post about the RE4 port. Interesting.

However, after seeing some gameplay movies on GameSpot's site, I hope they
put in a high difficulty level and fast-forward the action b/c an accurate
keyboard and mouse setup is going to take the fun factor out of the game
really quickly.

Zombies inching toward you as you aim for headshots looks boring as hell.
And I don't play FPSs with a gamepad. :)

You are thinking of Konami with the Silent Hill and MGS games, not
Capcom.

Konami a few years ago recommited to PC publishing. They have done the
hugely popular Winning Eleven / Pro Evolution Soccer (popular in Europe), as
well as two Metal Gear Solid Games (one of which is NOT available on XBox),
and also all the "next gen" Silent Hill games.

Konami did the Silent Hill and MGS games.

All the Resident Evil games except for Code Veronica got a PC release
eventually. Some were crappy ports, but they did get released.
Hopefully RE4 won't be a crappy port. Their other "survival horror"
franchise, Dino Crisis also got PC versions. Capcom has also ported
over some of their classic arcade games to the PC like the
Streetfighter games, Megaman, games, etc. That's really about it.
Nowhere near as much lovin' as they give the PS2. Or even the Xbox
really.

Aah, thanks to you and Magnulus for the correction.
