I was playing Duke Nukem and came across this dead guy on the floor w/
nothing below the torso (ripped off). Duke says, "That is one doomed
space marine," or something along that line, and then it hit me that
it WAS the green space marine to Doom! This was really funny, as well
as all the other nice touches to the game. There are so many things
you can do within the environment that it is impossible to list it
all... Great game!

Heh, I totally tripped after hearing that. Seems like the guys at
apogee/3drealms have a sense of humor too. The bar scene was funny
too, ever try offering money to the dancers? ;)

Ever shoot the dancers just to watch the money fly afterwards. ;-)

Just wanted to add a note, I also saw the "Doomed space marine and
thought it was a great laugh, as well as many other things in the
game. Fantastic job 3DRealms, can't wait for the full release!

If you look up on the ceiling of the chapel, you'll also see the Heretic
(tm) guy hanging on the ceiling :)

Where is it? I see the heretic guy but not the marine.

Speaking of the chapel...

How the heck do you reach that button above the "altar"? Is there a
jetpack on this level?

Line yourself up with it (so you're facing towards it, perpendicular to
the wall its on), walk backwards until your back hits the wall, aim up,
and shoot it...
(ever played Dark Forces? You need to do that in some levels there also..)

I did the same thing! Stand on the altar, walk backwards and jump
simultaneously, hit space bar a microsecond later. I could do it maybe
one time in 20, and if I was lucky I could then make it back to the
rising column.

Actually, I didn't realize you could shoot buttons when I was on that level.
It doesn't make sense, actually. Shouldn't shooting a button destroy it?

By walking onto that ledge below that button and jumping *just right* I
finally managed to press the button. It took me a long time to get the timing
right.
