I recently reinstalled XP and thought that I would be able to reinstall
Call of Duty 5: World at War easily but we can not find the key. It came
on a sleeve that I didn't know was lost. The game came as a bonus with my
graphics card. I saved all the COD files from the old installation but I
have found out that the I would have needed the key from the old Registry.

There is a long number (32 numbers and letters) in a file called
"install.log" that appears to have similar configuration to an original key
but it has too many numbers and the key is neither the first 20 characters
nor the last 20. I believe that I tried the middle 20 and that didn't work
either.

I tried a keygen and I thought that I might be able to compare it to the
original and figure out my real key. It did not generate a file named
"install.log"

Does anyone know if I can get my key from from this file or why the
generated version did not create this file?

TIA for any help!
