Shouldn't need to write this off. If you go to the "store" on Windows
10 and put "Forza Horizon" in the search box, all of the versions
should come up in the drop-down. Then choose your edition, the Horizon
3 Deluxe one, I believe you said and it will take you to the store
page. At the top of its listing could be different options, if it
shows a price with "Buy" and "Redeem a code" then it doesn't think you
own it and perhaps you can try to redeem your code again? Otherwise,
from what I recall, it says "Owned" or something similar and then
gives you the option to download it. After that it will show "This
product is installed" and give you a "Play" button.
As to the XBox One, if you've redeemed the code, the game should show
up under the "My Games and Apps" listed with anything else you own but
that are not installed on the console. Third one down on the left, I
think? Yeah, the XBox One interface sucks but it is *way* better than
it started off life as. <shudder>
Just as an FYI, you *have* to purchase the digital version of a Play
Anywhere title in order to download it on both/either systems.
Purchase a physical copy and it only works on the system you purchase
it for.
