Well I beat the game when it first came out and now ready to go at it
again with cheats to find all the secrets I missed the first time.
However when I use the cheats in the console they don't work. I do
the /give or then the sv_cheat 1 then god or impulse 101 and nothing
works. I tried caps on all the words and still nothing. Any clue on
what i may be doing wrong? Thanks.

you have to wait until the next level loads for the cheats to take effect.
