It's even more insulting because they are replacing it with Rocksmith+, a
subscription based, always online version. Funny how this happens just
one year after the release of the plus garbage, and months after the
mobile version. If people that try plus found out that there is a better
version that does not require a subscription and has 9 years worth of
DLC music, no one would even touch Plus.
To make matters worse, RS2014 is currently broken on Windows 11 and it
won't run without making some adjustments to thread limiting and messing
a bit so that it will accept the drivers for the real tone cable. It
runs perfectly on Windows 10, but because in the future Steam Support
for W10 may go away as it happened with 7, and this game may not play
nice at all with Linux and Proton...
Well, I would recommend obtaining a pirated version, supposing that they
managed to crack Denuvo. Or simply never ever play for any Ubi Soft
game. Capcom may remove Denuvo once they meet the sales goal, but
Ubisoft never. The version for RS2014 is sadistic enough to limit
activations the way Securom used to do in Bioshock.
