Help on DOOM last level

I have gotten to the end (?) presumably of the the first version (shareware) of DOOM.

I am up to the stage with the two pink dudes which are nearly impossible to kill.

I can get one but not the other.

I have found the 200% bonus health on the same level, but I still cannot kill both.

Any suggestions on tactics???

ok - here's how I did it.

1. You pretty much HAVE to use the rocket launcher
2. Alternate shooting one then the other (have to be
good with a mouse!) to keep them away from you)

should be no prob.

I reiterate, I did it with just the pistol on UV, as did several others who
have posted to this group. Look for the uuencoded .lmp files. They're
definitely worth a viewing.

Nah.. It's REALLY EASY to kill those two guys, actually. I could
probably do it with a pistol, if I had enough bullets. The trick is to get
REALLY good with strafing. Also, make sure you don't step out of the
red section until you've killed all the inviso monsters. The second you step
out, the two minotaurs will come out. (Actually, if you get good enough,
it won't matter either way). The shots which come out from the minotaurs
are slow enough so that you could just move to the side and have his shot
fly by you. Just shoot-strafe-shoot-strafe-... etc. IT'S EXTREMELY EASY!!
I was actually hoping that the big baddies would be a little tougher, but
no to be... *sigh*

Actually, there's even an EASIER way to kill those two minotaurs,
if you don't want to do the strafing tactic. Just kill the inviso guys and
then run straight ahead through the gap in between the two rooms which those
guys come out of. After that, just position yourself so that you could take
pot-shots at them until they drop. However, this is VERY BORING.. but it
gets the job done. Hope this helps.

The bad thing is that it doesnt work with version 1.1 or 1.11 of DOOM .
the movie was made with 0.99.
