I bought GTA3, just like all the other games I have. I just don't want to
have to put the CD in every time I want a quick run around the city. To
date, I have tried 8 or 9 no-cd cracks and NONE of them work for 1.1. I
have researched with yahoo, google and with groups.google.com (deja), but
none of the newsgroup links work either. Many of the downloads don't even
work. (I'm on 56k) I have been to megagames.com and to a few other
miscellaneous websites.

Just the fact that gamecopyworld doesn't list a no-cd crack makes me wonder
if there really IS a legitmate no-cd crack for this game.

Does anybody know where I can get one that actually works??

Thanks

I never found one that worked either. What I ended up doing was making an
image of the CD and leaving it on my hard drive and using DaemonTools to
play it. Works great for a lot of games that don't have NOCD cracks too.
Plus you can still patch normally. Only downside is that it eats up a
crapload of your HD space.

Gustavo,

Very very strange I didn't see those at GCW. I'll go back and check, but I
can tell you right now that I've tried all those patches, Joe Forester,
FBSA, Myth, and some other called Wizard something. Either way, I'll take
another look. Nice of you to take the time to cut &paste all that.

Assuming you own GTA3, were you able to get any of those no-cds to work?

Knight,

Not familiar with DaemonTools, but I'll look into it. HD space isn't a
problem. I'm still hoping for a working nocd patch, but I don't think it's
going to happen. Thanks for taking the time to offer your idea!

I found a version that works on 1.1.

Do a google search as well.

If you need it let me know.

It was a while since I got those and really it appears that there aren't now
at GCW. Weird.
Right now I'm using Myth one, I could send it to you if you want.
Greetings.

The no-cd crack that Gustavo posted worked for me. It's really
great not having to put the CD in.

The no-cd crack eats up lots of HD space too, all the radio station
files (around 50MB each) need to be copied to your HD for the crack to
work.

Daemon Tools is a great little program, but it conflicts with other
programs on my computer.
