FREE GAME: Destiny 2 Legacy Collection

Another freebie, this time on Epic. Wait, Epic? It's not Thursday is
it? Nope, this one is out of phase... perhaps the start of a holiday
give-away?* Who knows!

Anyway, the game:

- Destiny 2 Legacy Collection

Essentially a bunch of DLC for Destiny 2. However, the
base game is NOT included, and if you don't own it on
Epic,** you won't be able to claim this expansion. But
if you /do/ own "Destiny 2", this package adds "The
Witch Queen", "Beyond Light" and "Shadowkeep"
expansions. Not a bad offering, if you enjoy
"Destiny 2". Sort of pointless if you don't already
own the game, though.


You have until Dec 19 to claim this one, so no rush.

new games for another week, after this one. Also, no free game
tomorrow.
** And no, if you have Destiny 2 through some other service, it won't
work either. Pretty cheap, Epic.

Destiny 2 is free on any platform that it's available on and supports
crossplay between all supported platforms. So you can just add Destiny
2 to your cart when claiming the DLC, link your Epic Game Store and Steam
accounts to your Bungie account, and play with your existing characters.
You'll have to launch the game through the Epic Game Store to access
the bundle DLC content, though, it won't add the DLC to your Steam or
other stores' accounts.

It's actually a pretty nice deal for anyone that's new to Destiny 2 or
just a causal player. Hardcore Destiny 2 players will have bought all
these expansions already.

Good catch.

Would have been nice had /EPIC/ told us that, though. Or, you know,
included the base game in the "Legacy Collection" to avoid users
having to jump through all those hoops.

Six years on and they still can't manage a store...
