Max Payne 2 is a serious contender for Action Game of the Year, IMHO. A
bit short, but very high quality throughout, plus Dead Man Walking mode
is very replayable after the game is finished.

I am on the last level of FF and love it. I am picky about my action games
but if you like these you will like FF: Hitman, Thief, Commandos, and Medal
of Honor. It seems to be a combination of all these.

Max Payne may be good but I got a bit bored on the first one 3/4 of the way
through.

MP2 is like the original ...bullet time with a story and some game play
built around it. If you liked MP1, you'll like the sequel.

With the novelty of bullet time in the original, I managed to hang on till
about half way through. I'm on the second chapter in MP2 and interest is
waning quickly.

If I had to choose it would be Max Payne 2. Short but best action game I
have played in long time . Actually a little adult too. The guys that said
wait till call of duty is probably right though. If the demo counts for
anything.

I have finished them both. Both are very short (although Max is ridiculuous
I finished it in 7 hours)

I liked Freedom Fighters much better. The ability to command your own squad
is too cool, the graphics are
nicer (I thought Max was too Dark). I too am waiting for Call of Duty but
Freedom was good fun. The story was captiveating, the enviroment was
interesting (I'm a NYer) and the firefights between squads was INTENSE
(much more than Max). Highly recommended.

I liked Max but like the first it got repetetive. All you getting is a new
story (similar to the last), slightly updated
graphics, 2 new guns and a new bulletime system. I like you got bored with
the first (like me) you probably won't appricate the 2nd. I always thought
Max was overrated Max 2 is no different. Its good but its not a 9/10,
espically because its not that different from the first. I'd say 7/10 or
8/10. Get it when its a budget title.

I like freedom fighters too. What little I have seen of it. I am getting
game hangs all the time with this title. P4 2.66 GB, ATI 9700 pro with cat
3.8, audigy 2, 1gb memory and win xp. I want to play this game but it is too
painful...too many hangs and black screens. I'm glad I got it at EB...at
least they will let me take it back. Pisses me off cos I liked what I saw.
Guess I'll use the money to get Call of Duty.

I have Max Payne and played freedom fighters. Obviously since i own
max payne i'm going to say it is my choice to go with. It has a really
good story/plot and good graphics and the bullet time is amazing.

I thought the story was same old, same old. I just finished it yesterday
and was underwhelmed. The graphics were good, but everything else I'd seen
before in the first Max Payne. Nothing new. So if you like a short game
with few surprises, Max Payne 2 is it.
