In the latest computer gaming world there is a preview of the game.
The artical says it looks like DOOM will be out in august. However,
I would suggest the emphasis be put on LOOKS LIKE...

We are working hard on DOOM and it looks like we'll be pushing late Aug./Early
Sept. for it's release.
You read it here first!

Oh great, Jay. Just great. Just in time to distract me from my classes
in the Fall ;)
(Guess you meant it when you said that Id would be the greatest cause of
productivity loss in 1993.)

WHAT?! Played out in a year?! No, no no!
You recall that Wolfenstein was released 13 months ago, and it's still
going (just look at the NETS TOP 100 in comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.announce).
In part its popularity was due to all those editors and mappers that
people devised. ID says they'll release map formats and tx formats for
the network/modem play (shortly after release). I think every man
and his dog will write some sort of little utility given that kind
of info.
So like, I think this will keep us occupied for well more than a year.
Maybe CIV will fall down from 1st spot on the NET TOP 100 after DOOM
is out (hehehehe! Er no offense to all those CIV people).
Stan.
I dunno, Stan, you might be surprised how much overlap there is.
It's too hot in San Jose today to work outside, so, rather than
the digging I'd hoped to get to (for another set of phone lines!),
I've been playing my favorite games. CIV *and* the Wolf games.
I've also downloaded about 30 Doom screenshots... yeah!
