The folks at Apogee are not up to ANYTHING with Doom. Doom is an Id
Software game and has absolutely nothing to do with Apogee....

Psssst, that's ID... Apogee just distributed Wolf 3D and they won't
have anything to do with DOOM.

There's a DOOM press release floating around I imagine you'd be
interested in. Anyone got it to post? Shawn?

Not Apogee, but Id. Id is going solo this time. Check the official Id
software ftp site, ftp.uwp.edu for the latest press release on DOOM.
I think it's /pub/msdos/id... It's somewhere, I know :)

Okay, it's ID's game DOOM, not Apogee.

Well, you can start by reading the latest issue of GameByte (no. 9, I
think). They have a preview with sevral screenshots. Available from
ftp.ulowell.edu, msdos/Games/GameByte.

Adaz sighed. "So how long will this journey take?"
"A month?" Sutekh shrugged. "Depends on when the horses die."

You can score the PR at the FTP site listed below. I don't want to suck up
bandwidth by posting it again.
