The title says it all. I can't even score with one-timers like I do in the
cartridge version. I've scored before, but always on accident. I anyone
can help, I'd appreciate it.

I do the majority of my scoring by "passing" the puck into the net
(eliminates the time required for the shooter to release the puck) or
driving deep on one side with my puck-handler, making a quick pass to a
trailer coming down the center or other side, and one-timing it into the
net (beats the goalie coming across the crease). It is rare, indeed, to
score a conventional shot goal. The only success I've had with
conventional shots is when I can control a guy with a high shot power
rating (e.g., Brett Hull or Eric Lindros).

I personally have the greatest success with the wrap around in the
Sega version. You simply skate around the back of the net and skate in
front of the goalie and shoot to the far side. In the PC version (which
I might add pales in comparison to the sega version) I can usually only
score on a deke, I go in on an angle and at the last second turn the
opposite way and shoot.

Head straight for the goalie. Just before you reach him fake right then go left and make a quick shot. (or vice versa).

Got to be quick!
