I bought Max Payne yesterday. When I found out that Max's police contact
was Alex Balder, I thought "Isn't there a Norse god called Balder?
Probably just a coincidence." Then we heard from a Captain Woden. Then I
came to the Ragna Rock disco. No, probably not a coincidence.
Is there more of this stuff to come?
(Balder AKA Baldur: the dying god
Woden AKA Odin, Wotan: top god
Ragnarok: the end of the world)
And let's not forget the Aesir Plaza.

Yes Valhalla. Also the Big giveaway is when Max mentions how everything
seems to come from Norse Mythology. Or was it just me.

Sorry, I'd been drinking. That was rude!
Especially as Valhalla was the only one I would have known before playing
it!
Good spot.

Valkyr - Valkerie
Nicole Horne - Grallarhorn

There is even some good spanglish/italian puns:
Rico Muerte - Death
Joey and Vinnie Finito - the end, the finish
Jack Lupino - the dogfather lol

Although 'Valkyr' is the collective form of the word Valkerie, not a pun. As
in "She was a Valkerie. And actually one of the more sexy of the Valkyr."

Yeah, there are loads of Norse references in the game. IIRC, the
developers are Scandinavian, maybe Finnish?

I bought and played it myself just before Christmas. Great game!
