This thing installed that EA Download manager, which I expected would
update the games. What a piece of shit! When I run it, all it updates
is itself, then is just for downloading crap you purchase from EA.
EA is the worst for this shit. When you go to the support/patches page
it can't find any info about available patches. Absolutely worthless.
I guess when they shitcan an entire studio after releasing a game,
they also shitcan all the support files too.

Thats all the same stuff I found via google, motr just looking for
confirmation their patch never made it past the beta stage. This was
the game that shipped with ATI support horribly broken for the PC.
I think it bombed on the console too, and EA promptly shut the studio
down. It actually looks like a cool game, though I've only checked out
for a few minutes. Gonna skip the patch until I see if there are
issues.
Thanks for the link, anyway!
I have only played the first mission but the game surprised me by being
better than anticipated. An interesting mix of gameplay.
I got a copy on DVD from my EA contact ($4.99) and it installed and
plays fine on my ATI card.
My experience with the EA Download Manager (Mass Effect 2 pre-order) was
about as crappy as you have written. Took me hours to get the download
finally working and then it kept slowing to a crawl at less than 5% of
my 25Mbps connection. I won't ever use it again if I don't have to.

Are people saying here about Saboteur being OK or Penumbra ?
I know Penumbra is not for me , but I've been wondering Re: Saboteur.
Need something to take over from the ruined Splinter Cell series.

Saboteur... I just threw in the Penumbra bit. Thats actually what I've
been playing though. Haven't started Saboteur yet.
I actually kind of agree with you about Penumbra. I don't really like
games where your main defense is hiding. The puzzles are cool though.
You have to think about what you need to do, but the solutions (so
far) are things that use logic rather than obsure guessing.

You might like to try 'Darkness Within' 2.
It's similar to the Penumbra games but no hiding needed. The puzzles
are quite challenging at times. I do rather like these spooky 'point
and click' type games that have full WASD movement, environmental
interaction and decent physics integrated into the gameplay mechanics.
Thanks for that. I'll check it out!
