IBM hard drive circuit???

Has anybody tried to replace the circuit board on deskstar hard drive???
Any info regarding would be appreciated.
Im trying to resurrect my dead one which cant been seen in the BIOS.

find another card of a dead drive and swap . often works

But not necessarily on a DeathStar.
