I have a 2210...and nothing else

I have a 2210, no box, no manual, no software.
The unit appears to be in working order and on running a packet sniffer,
fails to boot up when no bootstrap server if found...maybe?
Looking on the internet a have found a few bits of information that don't
really help that much.
My problems include not knowing the IP address (which I'm sure it must have
as it is 2nd hand from an office). The IBM website simple says..."please
refer to the instruction manual" - very helpful!
Is there any specialist software needed to access the box? I do not seem to
be able to connect via the terminal port (although I my be using the wrong
cable?)
Any links, software or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone would like to buy it from me (UK) I may consider any offers.
