Hello.

This computer was first an Advanced 36 model 236 (only SSP). Later we made
the upgrade to the 436 with OS400 and SSP running simultaneous.
At present we are moving (migrateing)our programs/data from the SSP side of
the machine to the S36 environment of the OS400.
Next step will be to start using native OS400 software. (sometimes next
year)

This leads to the M36 machine beeing superfluous (not needed anymore)
Ok - deleting the M36 machine and M36config seems to be relatively easy.
But ---- Is this all I have to do ? or is there still a lot of
objects/stuff belonging to the SSP on my system.

Have any of you done something of the sort?

I also have the feeling that this model is somewhat different (both
hardware and microcode) than any other 9402 . Is this correct or not.?

Thanks.

regards

personally i would not remove the SSP from the system. you may need it in the
future for archive purposes. SSP can be reduced in size to only about 50MB.
I would delete all your SSP objects and then do a CHGSYSVL DISKSIZE on the
SSP.
