RSH or REXEC command for AS/400

Hello,

We are running windows NT 3.51 Servers which have the unix RSH and
REXEC commands running tcp/ip we are running tcp/ip from our as/400
systems. and would like to know if there is a RSH or REXEC command for
the as/400.

The AS/400 has an REXEC client but not an REXEC server. You can initiate
commands from the AS/400 to be run on a remote system that supports an
REXEC server. The AS/400 REXEC client is accessed using the RUNRMTCMD CL
command. I believe this command first shipped in V3R1M0.

If you want to run commands on the AS/400 from a remote system, you might
check into the RCMD subcommand supported by the AS/400 FTP server. For
more information on this, ftp to an AS/400 and issue "quote help rcmd".
