Hello,

I have problem with emails.
I can send and receive emails without problems, but when server
receive email for not existing
user than problems start.

In folder /QTCPTMM/SMTPBOX new STMF file is appearing and
disappearing continuously.
After each time adding new line "Received: from
SYS1.system.org(Ý192.168.2.1¨) by SYS1.SYSTEM.ORG (IBM OS/400 SMTP
V05R03M00) with TCP; Thu, 22 May 2008 06:16:14 +0100" to original
message.

This is causing that CPU utilization by QMSF jobs is growing very
much.
Probably is something wrong with configuration but I can not find
solution.

Any ideas ?

I'm attaching sample of STMF file

Hi,

I agree, looks like config problem and that the bounce back email that
is created for unknown users is looping in the SMTP service.

There is a simple guide to configuring SMTP at the link below, if you
have not already, I would run through this and see if there is
anything obvious you need to change.

Good Luck, Brad
