Sessions won't end due to DDM Server Lock

We're seeing a problem here for which I can't seem to find a solution.

We have two Model 825s running V5R2. We use DDM to query on files
between the machines. No updating is done, just reads.

Here's the problem: some of our interactive sessions are not ending
when the user signs off; i.e., the QPADEV**** job in QINTER doesn't go
away. I've traced the problem to the QRWTSRVR jobs that conduct the
DDM conversations. There's some locking going on, but I can't really
figure out what the source of the problem is.

I do know this: when I end the QRWTSRVR job using option 4, the
interactive sessions end immediately.

Anybody got an idea why this might be happening?

Thanks,
Curt

It might be a problem with how the application is closing the DDM files.
You could try running with DDMCNV(*DROP) job attribute and seeing if
it changes anything.

Otherwise contact your IBM service provider for assistance.
