This is an update to let you know of the major updates that I have
recently released for my MAILTOOL product.
The biggest and most benificial is the ability to use native MAILTOOL
APIs to send the email and totally bypass the use of the IBM SMTP server
for sending emails.
This option is called the MAILTOOL Plus! addon. With this addon enabled
you simply specify SENDWITH(*MAILTOOL) on the MAILTOOL command. You
also have the option to specify a mail router that can be used as a
backup for sending emails (if the recipients mail servers aren't
working) or exclusively for sending emails. How you use this option
depends on your network set up.
The MAILTOOL Plus! addon will also log any errors it finds sending an
email. With a simple command you can view these errors and resend
individual emails to all recipients or just those who received the error.
Other options include the ability to edit the recipient(s) address
before resending the email.
This new feature was added because of many customer requests, and not to
mention my own frustration with the IBM SMTP server.
You can view documentation on this new feature at:

If you wish to try out MAILTOOL and the MAILTOOL Plus! option, you can
download and reqeust temporary keys from www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html.

Thanks!
