Hi, I work on an AS/400 and in one of the queues there are eight
documents that have a STATUS of PRT and seem to be just stuck in the
print queue. Basic stuff like restarting the printer and ending the
writer do not change the status of the print jobs. Does anyone have
any thoughts on this? Thxs in advance.

Support likes to be called in these instances, but they will likely tell
you to end all writes then invoke QSPFIXUP.

Contact IBM service, this is a bug...even if your printer writers ended
abnormally (unless that was caused by some user error). QSPFIXUP may
correct the status of those files, but it won't help us (IBM) solve this
problem...

I had this problem before, too. I think I finally got cleared by
placing all the jobs on HOLD, then stopping the writer. After that
you may be able to delete the jobs.
