Hi,

Do anybody know haw to automatically shutdown AS400 after a power supply
failure ?

You must connect your UPS to the AS/400. Ask your UPS vendor and IBM.

Then look at the QUPSDLYTIM and QUPSMSGQ system values

Jarek,
You will need to monitor for the CPI0964 message in you power warning program.
And basically take a dive (pwrdwnsys *immed) if you have exhausted the
batteries on your system or on an external UPS...this isn't the greatest thing
to do but it is better than going through the exhaustive testing of databases
and their recovery should you just shut it off or loose all power on your
AS/400.......And I am assuming that you really didn't have a power supply
failure you just lost power to your system......Jack Hefner
