Just noticed that any fields coded in DSPF's with the Blinking attribute
DSPATR(BL) are shown in red and not blinking.

This is happening on both our Dev and Production boxes (both 4.5) and not
just on our Rumba Pc's but also on the system console.

Anyone know what's causing this?

thanks,
Glenn

I believe that that is the proper reaction for a color terminal. Only on a
monochrome terminal will some attributes such as blink work as desired.

I seem to remember this happening long ago, and we solved it by changing the
device model number. Of course, this was before rumba, but we had (for
example) some 3180 terminals using 3179 devd's.

Thanks for the help, eventually got field blinking on console by coding as
red and blinking . No luck with Rumba, just have to live with it i guess.

It would all depend on how the emulator translates the data stream. For
example, I use client access and mocha and each display them differently.
