We need to get a set of files to a pc format (ASCII) as one file.
Example all invoices are printed one at a time durring the day and they
need to be put together into one file and sent to the pc network at
night. Attempted several solutions so far and still we have problems
with the page format (we can never get the proper page breaks)

Please help

Kevin,

We might be able to help you with our Alliance FTP Manager product
(http://www.patownsend.com/FTPManager.htm). FTP Manager can send spool
files to a PC with an FTP server. I believe you can append multiple
files together if you like.

Kevin, I have quite a few different applications that do this type of thing.
Send me an E-mail with a phone number and I will tell you how I do it.

Halo,
I do not know how to download the spool files from the AS/400 into my
PC. Normally for Sources and data files I use FTP and do it using the FTP
command <get>.
My email-id is Mohamm...@bosch.com

Can anyone respond to my question.

Hi Mahesha,

You need to convert the spooled file to a database file first. See CPYSPLF.

Paul
