We are looking for detailed information on Sterling's COOL:2E,
(used to be Synon/2E version 6.0) internal data dictionary or meta
models. Is there
anyone who has documented the information in the Synon/2E models e.g.
the Y*
physical files/tables from where the RPG code is generated e.g. we are
looking for
information how the Action Diagrams are stored, Screen Device designs
plus additional
information how the Synon/2E generators work (e.g. how are the RTV, DLT
OBJ
functions generated?).
While seeking over many search engines there seems to be
not a lot of (public available) information on Synon and it's meta
models. Is there
anybody out there who is willing to share knowledge in this area?
Thank you.
PS: You can post email to al...@hotmail.com ; I'm not listing my
business
email address for nospam purposes.

Hi Alex !
Sorry, can't give you information either, looking for exactly the same.
You wrote there's not very much information on the meta models available on a
public level. Well, so far, I didn't find any. Would you share what you found
so far ?
Only thing I've got is a sold-out-book at amazon.com : Synon Developer's Guide
for the As/400 (J. Ranade Ibm) by John Porter ordered it, but it will take
some time.
Thanks
