Does anyone know how to "programatically" retrieve the IP Address from
an AS/400 that is connected to the internet via a SLIP connection.  I
know how to view the IP address using the WRKTCPSTS or NETSTAT
commands but I need to have a program retrieve the address and use it
for processing -- Any help would GREATLY be APPRECIATED!  Thanks...

Hi,

Which IP-address do you want ? An AS/400 can have multiple ones, ie.
Ethernet, Tokenring, SLIP, ...but anyway, I would suggest to take a look at
the Sockets manual on http://as400bks.rochester.ibm.com, maybe they've a
routine to do so.

Kind regards,
Paul

Have a look at QUSRSYS/QATOCPTP *FILE. You might be able to extract
the information from there.
