Hallo.

If a start the Client Access i must enter a Userid and Password first
for the connection. All users have the same Userid and Password for
the Connection.
After successfully connect all user must enter the "True" USERID and
Password to login in the AS400.I dont wont to use the WINDOWS passwort
!

any ideas ?

I'm not sure what you are asking for, but .....

The Navigator "Properties" controls the first connect. You can
specify a default user, to use Windows user, or always prompt.

The second (green screen) logon is controlled by the "Bypass Signon"
option in client access session and a system security value that
specifies if "Bypass signon" is permitted.

One other note: The "connection" signon is what get used for any
non-green-screen access to the AS400 (File transfer, Netserver, etc).
If you use a generic logon, you won't know who is accessing these
things.

If you just want to get rid of the two-signon issue, have them use
their "true" name in the first (connection) and set the system to
allow "Bypass signon".

An excellent answer Terence

<have them use their "true" name in the first (connection) and set the
system to allow "Bypass signon".> .
I agree completely. iSeries Navigator has become so powerful that user can
perform a number of tasks using the common signon with complete anonymity. I
would only add that if marsias' users synchronise their iSeries and Windows
passwords and take the option to use Windows Username and Password (No
Prompting) they will go straight in. It is important that the windows and
iSeries usernames are the same.

My users seem to have a huge problem understanding the synchronisation and
perpetually get themselves locked out. Complaining "Yes but I didn't enter a
password". That's why I've implemented the EIM single signon solution. And
that doesn't require usernames to be the same.

you can write a script file to execute at startup called cwblogin, its
supposed to cache login credentials so as the login screen comes up right
away without as password prompt.. i find it easier that way anyway..

Hallo Dany and Terence.
thanks for your answers. but

1. I dont wont to use Windows passwort because in our many brances the
user and password in windows is a "chaos". It is inpossible to find
out what user and passwort has each computer !!!!.
2. I dont wont to bypass the second screen(green) !

I wont bypass only the connection passwort LIKE personal
Communication.

In Personal communication the green screen comes without prompting the
connection Userid and the password why ??. This is my destination .

thanks again.

any suggestions ?
