Is there a sftp client that runs on the iSeries?

It appears that most solutions for the iSeries involve FTP over SSL,
but I'd like to connect to a sftp server (from the as/400). Reason
is, I have some automated RPG jobs on the iSeries that need to connect
to sftp servers and download files (automatically). I've noticed the
FTP/SSL client is included with V5r2, but I don't see anything about
sftp.

Thanks,
Jon

Not unless you want to fork over tons of $$ for one.

It's just easier to find a free or cheap PC one, download the files to
the PC, then send them to the AS/400. Sure, it's an extra step, but
it's worth the 10k saved. :)

One FTP client that I REALLY like right now is called SmartFTP.
www.smartftp.com. I haven't done any scripting with it yet so I'm not
sure how that works, but, it does SSL and a few other encryption
methods.

Hi Jon,
What about client authentication via key-pairs, no user or passwd
required, you can automate ftp/ssl also. SFTP is more ssh (unix)
related (i think), maybe with PASE installed, try the qp2term. FTP/SSL
is even better then SFTP, and with DCM yoy can create your own
Certificate Authority and server/client certificates.
