Hi,

During the IPL I get the following error message in QSYSOPR after the STRMSF command. We are running SMTP/POP mail using the domino SMTP gateway and everything is running smoothly, but I would like to get rid of these messages. Does anybody know how ?

When I take a look at the joblog of the QMSF job I see the following message :

Hi Theo,

I believe one of the manuals lists how to clear the SMTP queue (maybe a bit
drastic solution). Once this has been done, MSF can be restarted without
any problem.

Kind regards,
Paul

Maybe one of:

V4R2M0 SF51449 UP98/12/20 C8342
V4R3M0 SF51494 UP98/12/24 C8349

or

APAR= II10428
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
MSGCPFAF98 may be seen in MSF joblogs if SMTP server is not started. Starting
the SMTP server at this point will not stop messages from appearing in the MSF
joblog. Ending and starting MSF with a *resume will not stop MSGCPFAF98 from
occurring. To fix this problem, an ENDMSF must be issued, followed by a STRMSF
MSGOPT(*RESET).
