I have currently got a requirement for users to sign onto a Client
Access AS400 connection. They are quite happy doing this once in the
morning however, the connection seems to timeout. This causes
problems because the application they are using is DOS based and
therefore they cannot see the AS400 connection box pop up. What I
need to know is:

1. Is there any way of making Client Access logon automatically (we
can't use Windows logon and password)?
2. Can I make the time out infinite?

The machine they are using is running Windows 2000.

Cheers,
Rich

w2k cannot remember password; you should use client access express:
search for cwblogon.exe;
put into autoexec.bat with usernarme and password; should be like:
CD \program files\ibm\client access
cwblogon YOURAS /u USERPROFILE /p PWD
note that this will be in clear, so use a low-level userprofile!

try this links (me be old):
http://as400bks.rochester.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/v4r5/ic2924/info/RZAIICWBLOGON.HTM
or
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/clientaccess/cadev.htm
download logonusr, read the read-me (for oder versions of client access)
search in www.faq400.com (almost italian)
