Hello,

I found a PDF a while ago, originated from Wall Data Inc. They're
describing how to configure OS/400 so it supports AppleTalk as network
protocol natively. They vaguely state as requirement:

OS/400 PTFs for AppleTalk Connectivity (check with IBM for latest PTFs).

Unfortunately, Wall Data is no more and Mochasoft as successor does not
respond to my questions. I also tried to contact IBM but they refuse to do
anything because of the old and not anymore supported V4R4 I'm using.

So I want to ask here: Does anyone know how to get these PTFs for V4R4?
Perhaps someone has them on media in the attic?

Thanks for any pointers to help!

AppleTalk and SNA.ps support was dropped around V3R1 or so. As far as I know it didn't exist in OS/400 V4R4 and certainly doesn't in any of the current releases.

Thank you very much for this valuable feedback! So, last thing to consider
is to get my hands on the SNA.ps Gateway (or the later Versions called Mac
RUMBA) which runs on a Mac connected to Token Ring.

I'd be glad to get my hands on these, to have a direct access to my AS/400
from old 68k-Macs. If anyone has a pointer for me, I'd be very happy!

Thanks!

If just looking for a [low function effective] 5250 emulator, I use
iTerm [iTerm.app] for access via TELNET. Perhaps that is an available
utility on your Mac.?

Thank you for your response. But, no. That's not an option, since I don't
look for solutions for OS X. There are plenty, in fact. I want to have
such thing(s) for Mac OS versions < 10, preferred 7 or earlier, including
stuff that doesn't need PowerPC CPU.
