yes I have some experience. It is rather simple: through CA's ODBC you
can open and edit AS/400 tables etc.

The Access engine is a notoriously poor performer with AS/400. If at all
possible, use SQL Passthrough queries

Try ACE400 for that, it will deliver record level access to Access....
it have a full DAO integration, and API to access All AS/400
resources.
