Hello-
I have several users who are having logon issues from their
workstations- they have W2K pro installed and are using Client Access
to access the AS400 (v5r1). They get the following error message:

CPF1110 Not Authorized to work station.

When I go to their workstations, I can logon w/ the QSYSOPR profile
w/o problems, so I know client access is working fine. I'm guessing
there is a setting in security thats preventing them from logging on,
but am not sure where to look.

Note: The user's profiles are active and enabled.

If y'all can give me some tips- I would appreciate it greatly.

-Cheers
John

You have to authorize the users to the device-description of the
workstation.

log on as qsysopr

type wrkobj <f4> device-name *devd

and give : *public *all rights to the devicedescription (easiest / quickest)

of just give the persons you want to make use of the device-description
*change authority to it.

Yep- that did it. Knew it was something simple...

Thanks for the tip.
