I've done this before in the past, but it's been over 3 years since
I've touched an AS/400. What is the method to get more room on the
command line? I have a long string that I am entering in, (spans over
4 lines) and I only have 2 lines.

A quick follow up will really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

just type CALL QCMD on your command line and you'll get a block of
lines. If you press F11 you'll get a complete page of command lines.

In the same vein, how do you get more room on an individual parameter
line, such as CPYTOSTMF?

Assuming that you are talking about in command prompting, enter & at
the beginning of the parameter field, wipe out the rest of the
parameter (if any) and press Enter.

On the command prompt display you can press F13 (How to use this
display) for this kind of information.

You can do it more than one time, until the field is 512 car length

Hi -

True. It should be noted also that nothing stops it from being
expanded well beyond the maximum of that particular parameter.
