Thanks!
Try using the QFileSvr.400 file system. This file system allows you to
use the IFS on one iSeries from another iSeries.

I've tried iSeries Navigator, mapped drive, and FTP; FTP works the best
by far.
I keep the name of my IFS direcories and the Image Catalog the same as
the PTF ID, so for the V5R3M0 cume, it's called SF99530. First create
an empty directory on the target system. I usually then do my
CRTIMGCLG command specifying *NO on CRTDIR on the target system.
>From an interactive FTP session:
na 1
ty i
cd '/sf99530'
mput '/sf99530'
The mput will send every file. No need to specify the local directory
unless you're sending from within a nested directory structure.
You'll then have to add each file to the catalog, which only takes a
minute. Repeat step for each volume. You'll get this info from the
source image catalog.
ADDIMGCLGE IMGCLG(SF99530) FROMFILE('/SF99530/C6142530_01')
TOFILE(C6142530_01)
Make sure you change the volume number each time you run this command.
Another option is to copy the *IMGCLG from the source to the target.
Use either SAVRSTOBJ or save it in a SAVF and FTP if you don't have
ObjectConnect on both systems. Doing it this way eliminates the need
to run the ADDIMGCLGE command.
