Feliks,

Visit our website we have a couple of tools you may be interested in.

1. 36/2000 which does the Y2k expansion to identified fields within RGPII
and OCL
.
2. Prostart which does the System/36 to 400 migration.

36/2000 has an interface to Prostart so that you can do your Y2k project
first - then migrate the updated programs/procedures/files to AS/400.

We are also publishing some free AS400 software on

http://www.freeas400software.com

Hope this helps

Couple of tips:
1. DSPF36 source, when compiled, creates a DSPF source file in QS36DDSSRC
which is a properly converted display file that is best referenced in your
RPG program as a program described display file.
2. RPG36 code can be converted to RPG very easily: define the file in the F
spec as E for external, F for program described; change UC & IC chain files
to IF and remove the R (random); delete the block field (if used). If
processing primary display files, remember that the S/36 did a full cycle
which you have to compensate for by forcing a display.
Hope this helps.
