Recently, I've gotten a message CPD90B1:
-----------------
Message . . . . : Distribution limit of 9999 reached.
Cause . . . . . : The sender has sent 9999 distributions. These
distributions still exist on the system.
Recovery . . . : Either delete any incoming distributions that you sent
to
yourself or any outgoing distributions that you sent with confirmation of
delivery.
-----------------
But I couldn't find that huge number of distributions by QRYDST command.
There are only 5 ones. I've deleted them but had the message again.
How to clear a distribution database ?

DLTOUTMAIL helps a bit, but to delete incoming mail you can do the
following
Create a small CL program that:
-QRYDST to an outfile
-loops through the outfile entries and issue DLTDST for old entries
you want to get rid of
Submit a job that calls this CL program for every office user using
the USER parameter of SBMJOB.
Remember that the physical distribution object isn't deleted until all
recipients have deleted their "copy" from their mailbox!

but QRYDST says that "Requested distribution complete, 0 distributions"
for IN and OUT mail. There are not any mail if believe this command.
In our office the distrubution service works only for me.

Are you the *only* office/400 user?

No, not only. I use SNDDST to send mail for my job.
I don't want to use mail APIs to send mail because
in this cause I need to keep SMTP database.

I experienced the same problem about a year ago, and it was indeed not clear
to me why he was complaining, until I noticed that he wasn't complaining
about my user itself (which was an automated process), but about .... the
users who received my mails !!!
Therefore, take a look at what they've left in their inbox, or run the
QRYDST against their individual mailboxes.
Kind regards,
Paul

You helped me on this problem a few months ago. I finally found the
resolution on the IBM web site. For later versions of OS you need to set
the distribution attributes to specify that MSF does not do local
delivery.

IBM AS/400 communications, FTP automation, and network security
software and consulting services.
Strange. I always have this setting as "no local delivery" and
the problem has occurred.
