Hi,

Does anybody have experience with running Jetform designed reports on
the AS/400.

What I want, is to design reports, where the data will be taken from
already existing reports.

How is it setup on the AS/400 and do I compile reports to some special
place on the AS/400.

Links to subject is very much appreciated.

Regards
Brian

What I liked most about Jetform is the Windows based forms design. At
the time they had two designers available the Jetform and
Formsplus/400. After designing a report on your PC you convert the
form and run the upload to your AS/400. You then from an AS/400 menu
option install the form and it becomes available to be used on your
AS/400. Adding a few lines of code to your CLP to load the form(s) to
your printer and then have your spool file merge with the forms
overlays. You can actually work with multiple overlays on the same
form.

The company where I now work uses AFP and the same old problem is not
having a nice forms design software like Jetform. The forms design
software from Jetform is WYSIWYG and you can work with any font you
have installed.

Hi Daniel.

Thanks alot for your answer. The spool file merge on the AS/400, is
the mapping of fields setup on the AS/400 or do you do that in the pc
client too?

Best regards

The mapping of the fields is done on the AS/400. At least on the last
version that I used.

One thing when use the JetForm can take advantage from dynamic form and some
functionality of output management such as Mail, Fax, PDF.
