Hello,

I have got a RPG source which have some lines coloured. A white line has
X22 infront of the sourceline. How can I put in these hexcodes into the
source in SEU. This seems to be a quite nice feature.

Hi Gunnar,

if have a special member with all kinds of coulors. When I need them, I
just copy the lines.

Gunnar,

I use YWRKF as it has a nice HEX option, but not everybody has the Synon
functions.

For a neater solution try News400 magazine, which provided the source code
for just such a utility called COLORRPG in the April 2000 edition which you
can download online from www.as400network.com.

Sorry about previus post
Use dbu (available in most shops and then cmd9) setup one source meber
with colours needed (change pos 8 ) to a hex code such as
20 for normal try it from there onwards 2* and 3* to see what you like
highlight being 22
Line type must be a comment(*).Thsi works for rpg But i gues can work
for any language.
To change d , and other line types use pos 5
Good luck

Well, cut and paste would be a little difficult, because it woul loose all
information on coulor. If interessted, I can post a savefile containing the
member, it should be no more than 5k. Once loaded to your machine, you simply
copy a line with the desired coulor to your member and then edit the text.

Gunnar,

what about SQL???
OVRDBF to your desired member or CREATE ALIAS and then
update
QRPGLESRC
set srcdta = x'22404040'
where srcseq = 4
or something like this. And afterwards the copy trick, the other
mentioned. I've done this befor using a hex editor on pc and then
uploaded the file...

I missed the original posting, but if you are using Client Access,
what about changing your keymappings. For example we are using
[Alt+w] for white, [CtrlLeft+w] for underline white and
[CtrlLeft+Shift+W] for ReverseImage white.

As key definition use 'apl 22' and so on...

Well, in my opinion, the easiest way to use color lines is to redefine some
of the keys in your Client Access
Keyboard MAP to work with some HEX directly from your keyboard in PDM(member
text) or in any editor(SEU, DFU...)
In my keyboard I specify Colors in Ctrl+... keys, and Colors+RI in ALT+...
keys:
ALT+W = White+RI, Ctrl+W = White.
You should go to CUSTOMIZE KEYBOARD and in the Ctrl line of character you'll
see [pass]
Instead of [pass] you should type "apl" , 1 space and HEX value.
There is a list of values I use(character means color) :
Ctrl Alt
W apl 22 apl 23
R apl 28 apl 29
T apl 30 apl 31
Y apl 32 apl33
P apl 38 apl 39
G apl 20 apl 21
B apl 3A apl 3B
N apl3f - NON DISPLAY

Feliks Reznik.
P.S. I found it in this newsgroup 2 years ago. d:-)
Good Luck.
